When should I book my newborn photography session?

We recommend booking your session around your 20-week scan to secure a spot in your due month. Newborn sessions are best done when your baby is 4–14 days old, while they’re still very sleepy and naturally curled.

How do I book?

Booking is simple, just use our online enquiry form, send us a message on social media, or call us directly, we'll confirm availability. To secure your session we require a non refundable £99 session fee, which gets taken off your chosen collection. If you are wanting family photos or sibling please book from collection two upwards.

What if my baby arrives early or late?

No problem at all! Your booking reserves a flexible slot around your due date. Once your baby arrives, we’ll confirm a session time that works for both of us usually 7-days days new.

Where do the sessions take place?

Newborn sessions are held in my warm and welcoming photography studio in Mold, North Wales, fully equipped with props, backdrops, and everything needed for a safe and relaxed experience.

How long does a newborn photoshoot last?

A typical newborn session lasts 3–4 hours, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, and settling. The pace is always baby-led and completely relaxed. We do advise not to book anything else on the same day.

What should we bring to the session?

Bring along:

• Extra nappies and wipes
• Milk or formula for feeds
• Expressing equipment and change of clothing for ease of feeding
• A dummy if your baby uses one
• Snacks and drinks for parents (we do have plenty of tea and coffee, and water)
• Anything you want include in the photographs (please send us photos beforehand, so we can incorporate them in)
• Outfits for family photos (comfortable, neutral, no patterns or big logos)

Can parents and siblings be included?

Absolutely, this is from collection two upwards! I always encourage including family and sibling portraits as part of your newborn session—it’s a beautiful way to document your growing family. The only part of the family we don't include is pets, we're sorry about that.

Do you provide outfits and props?

Yes, I have a carefully curated collection of wraps, outfits, bonnets, headbands, and props. Everything is clean, soft, and newborn-safe. You’re also welcome to bring anything personal or sentimental you'd like included. (tell us in advance)

 What if my baby doesn’t sleep during the session?

That’s totally fine. While sleepy photos are ideal, awake shots can be just as beautiful. I’m experienced in soothing babies and working patiently to capture gorgeous images no matter their mood.

Is newborn photography safe for my baby?

Yes, safety is always my top priority. I’m trained in safe posing techniques, and your baby is never placed in a position that’s unnatural or uncomfortable. Everything is done with the utmost care and attention.

 When will we receive our photos?

The viewing typically takes place within six weeks of your photoshoot, although we always aim to deliver sooner where possible, depending on our current workload.
