What is a sitter session?
A sitter session is a milestone photoshoot that takes place when your baby can sit up unassisted, but isn’t quite on the move yet. It’s a wonderful stage where their personality is starting to shine, and we can capture all those cheeky smiles, chubby thighs, and curious expressions.
When should I book a sitter session?
We recommend booking once your baby can sit confidently without support, typically between 6 and 10 months old. If you're unsure of timing, feel free to get in touch and we can advise based on your baby’s development.
Where do the sessions take place?
Sitter sessions take place in my warm, welcoming studio in Mold, North Wales, with families travelling from Cheshire and surrounding areas. The space is baby-safe, fully equipped, and styled with beautiful props and backdrops.
How long does a sitter session last?
A typical sitter session lasts around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Babies tire quickly at this age, so we keep things fun, relaxed, and baby-led to get the best results in a short, enjoyable time.
What should my baby wear?
I have a beautiful selection of studio outfits and accessories for babies aged 6–12 months, neutral tones, textures, and timeless styles. You’re also welcome to bring a special outfit or favourite item if you’d like something more personal in the photos. We can send you photos, just ask.
What should I bring with me?
Please bring:
- A drink or bottle
- A small snack or favourite toy
- A change of clothes
- Any sentimental items you'd like in the photos (please tell us before)
We’ll take care of everything else!
Do you use props or themes?
Yes! Sitter sessions include a variety of minimal, styled set-ups with beautiful props like wooden toys, textured blankets, bowls, and crates. If you have a particular theme or colour palette in mind, just let us know—we’re happy to tailor the session.
When will we see our photos?
The viewing typically takes place within six weeks of your photoshoot, although we always aim to deliver sooner where possible, depending on our current workload.
How do I book a sitter session in Mold?
Simply get in touch via the contact form or email to check availability. It’s best to book a few weeks ahead, especially if you want photos in time for a birthday or family gift. We require a non refundable session fee of £49 to secure your slot in the diary, this gets taken off your chosen collection at the viewing session.
